FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Our choice of paint depends on the mural's location. For indoor murals, we opt for low-luster/eggshell, self-priming latex paint. Not only does this water-based paint last indefinitely, but it also makes walls easy to clean.
-
Our pricing is based on complexity, color, size, and working conditions. We utilize a square footage pricing model, encompassing design time, client correspondence, meetings, installations, and supplies.
-
Absolutely. We carry Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance and Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) coverage as required.
-
We're equipped to collaborate with all organizations, including those in vulnerable sectors like schools. For clients requiring them, we provide annual background checks.
OUR MURAL PAINTING PROCESS
Step 1:
Scoping the Space
Time: 1-2 hours on site
We conduct an on-site visit to ensure a thorough understanding of the space, taking measurements and capturing images. This is your opportunity to share any ideas or preferences you have for the mural's design.
Step 2:
Ideating and Sketching
Time: 1-2 weeks
We immerse ourselves in brainstorming, doodling, and sketching, developing mood boards and exploring color palettes. You'll receive three concepts, each mocked up on photos of your walls, allowing you to visualize the final result before painting begins.
Step 3:
Review and Elevate Mural Designs
Time: 1-2 hours on site
Before our second meeting, we'll send over the concepts for your review. During this stage, you can select your preferred design or request any changes or additions. All concepts are presented in full color to aid in selecting the perfect palette.
Step 4:
Site Prep and Supply Stocking
Time: 1-2 weeks
We prepare the site for painting, which may involve installing scaffolding and completing any necessary wall repairs or treatments. Depending on access and scheduling, a painting timetable may be established.
Step 5:
Time to Paint!
Time: 2-3 weeks
With everything prepared and approved, it's time to bring your vision to life! We work in focused time blocks of 3-5 hours, adjusting based on the mural's complexity and if weather conditions are a factor.
