I am thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in The Grand's new Artist Resiliency Program! With funding from Canadian Heritage, this program is designed to support and strengthen Calgary's artistic community by providing free workshops and panel discussions throughout February 2023. As someone who has struggled with building a sustainable career in the arts, I am particularly excited to learn about topics such as marketing and branding, financial stability, and navigating the granting process.
I am also heartened by the program's emphasis on supporting artists from Equity Deserving backgrounds. As a member of one of these groups myself, it means a lot to have access to resources that are specifically tailored to my needs and experiences.
Overall, I am deeply grateful to The Grand and the Government of Canada for making this program possible. I can't wait to see what I will learn and how it will help me grow as an artist!
